Spine Align Ultralign G2

“My goal is to be able to respond to the needs of my patients. This technology gives us an additional tool to address the health care needs of patients of all ages. We are happy to treat all family members, from the youngest to the oldest, to ensure optimal health and wellness for all.”

~ Dr. Sylvie Bordeleau

“The main reason for not seeking Chiropractic treatment is lack of proper information and fear of being adjusted. This new equipment allows us to provide treatment to a wider range of patients, to improve their quality of life and to help people with back problems, headaches or sciatica, and those who want to feel well.”

~ Dr. Daniel Vandervoort

Dr. Sylvie Bordeleau and Dr. Daniel Vandervoort of the Beacon Hill Chiropractic Clinic are pleased to announce the acquisition of the Spine Align Ultralign G2 to allow computer assisted chiropractic care for residents of Ottawa. To date, the Beacon Hill Chiropractic Clinic and Rockland Chiropractic Clinic are the only local clinics in the Ottawa area to utilize this advanced technology. This gives the doctors of the two clinics an additional gentle method of analysis and treatment for conditions that are causing pain and discomfort for patients who dislike the torsion or cracking of many traditional chiropractic techniques.

The Ultralign G2 uses the same sensing technology that the aviation industry and engineers have used in order to test metal fatigue in aircraft and bridge spans. The doctors of the Beacon Hill Chiropractic Clinic and the Rockland Chiropractic Clinic can now use this highly sophisticated cutting edge technology to analyze joints and tissue with increased precision. The device measures the stiffness of the tissue or joint by applying a light mechanical force and oscillating frequency sending a signal back to the sensor, all before the muscles can respond.

The patient is treated in a comfortable way while usually seated on a massage chair. There is no need to turn or hyperextend parts of the body, head or neck and there is no sudden thrust by the doctor’s hand. The computer provides the patient with a visual image of the mobility of their spine. Intraarticular joints
needing an adjustment are indicated from the information on the screen. Proper correction can be seen by the patient and doctor both. Tendon problems can also be treated with this gentle precise technology.

Regular chiropractic care is recognized to help people experience less pain, more energy, improved posture and flexibility. Numerous studies have demonstrated that chiropractic care is superior to other treatments for the majority of back pain sufferers. Not only is it good for acute back and neck pain but chronic conditions respond very well too. Long-term benefits of regular chiropractic treatment include relief from spinal arthritis, headaches and sciatica as well as improving athletic performance. It also assists families with active lifestyles to manage their wellness. Both the Beacon Hill Chiropractic Clinic and Rockland Chiropractic Clinic offer relief, corrective and maintenance care, to respond to immediate concerns and long term prevention of problems.

The use of the Spine Align further expands the techniques used at both clinics to assist their patients. Several chiropractic techniques are available including Activator methods and traditional manual adjusting of the spine. In addition, the clinics have the latest adjunctive therapies including cold laser therapy using Theralase. Cold laser therapy has been achieved over 90% results for many common MSK conditions such as tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, should tendonitis, bursitis and arthritis pain to name a few. Theralase is economically priced, time efficient and covered by chiropractic insurance. Gait Scan is also available to assist in designing custom orthotics. Gentle, effective and affordable care is the priority of the doctors and they have methods to help people of any age or body-type.
